OUR BUILDING

Originally constructed in 1926 as a dry storage facility, the Queen’s Quay Terminal was converted into a mixed-use building in 1983, at which time the Theatre was established on its third floor.  Given its age, The Terminal Theatre is mostly, but not completely barrier free.

ENTRANCES TO QUEENS QUAY TERMINAL

There are entrances on the North, East, Southeast, Southwest and West sides of the building.  Each entrance is elevated from ground level.  The North, East Southeast and Southwest entrances are accessible by stairs and a wheelchair ramp.  The West entrance is accessed by a path that is on a slow incline to the doors.

YOUR ARRIVAL AND ACCESSING THE BUILDING

You may arrive at Queen’s Quay Terminal on foot, transit or by car.

IF YOU ARE ARRIVING BY TRANSIT

The TTC Route 510 Spadina and 509 Harbourfront streetcars stop directly in front of Queens Quay Terminal. The most direct entrance from the streetcar stop is the front doors on the North side of the building.

IF YOU ARE ARRIVING BY TAXI, RIDE SHARE, WHEEL TRANS OR ARE BEING DROPPED OFF BY CAR

The drop off point at Queens Quay Terminal is on the West side of the building near the residents parking ramp and the building’s loading docks.  Please note that this is a pick-up and drop off zone only.  There is no parking directly at Queens Quay Terminal for vehicles visiting the theatre.

IF YOU ARE ARRIVING BY CAR AND NEED TO PARK

The nearest accessible parking lot is located next door at Harbourfront Centre…add address….  The elevator from the parking facility will bring you up to ground level near the West Entrance to Queens Quay Terminal.

FINDING THE TERMINAL THEATRE

The Terminal Theatre is located on the third floor which is accessed by the South elevators in the atrium.

If you arrive through the main entrance on the North side of the building proceed through the lobby (past the North elevators which do not serve the theatre) and into the atrium.  Use the South elevators to access the theatre.

WHEELCHAIR AND ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Accessible seating is only available on the orchestra level of The Terminal Theatre.  Seating in the balcony requires the use of stairs to access your seats.

Seats in the front row of the orchestra are at floor level and are the most accessible to patrons with mobility needs.  Designated wheelchair and companion spaces are also in this area as identified on our seating map. These seats are accessible through the lower lobby.

A secondary wheelchair seating area is located at the top of the orchestra section accessible through our upper lobby. Please note that there is no elevator within The Terminal Theatre.  Patrons with mobility needs who need access to the upper lobby should check in with staff at the main entrance on the third floor.  We will assist you in using the public elevators to access the upper lobby.

If you have a mobility device, but do not need wheelchair seating our staff will be pleased to store your device during the performance and return it to you at intermission and/or the conclusion of the performance.

WASHROOMS

The washrooms in The Terminal Theatre are in the lower lobby.  There is a wheelchair accessible stall in both the men’s and ladies’ washrooms. There are additional accessible washrooms located in the public areas of The Queens Quay Terminal on the ground, third and fourth floor.

Gender neutral washrooms are not available at The Terminal Theatre.  We encourage you to use the washroom in which you are most comfortable.
